Karobar vs Hootsuite: a Hootsuite alternative for social sellers

Posting, inbox, WhatsApp and orders compared, with a source for every Hootsuite fact.

Hootsuite is a well-known social media management tool: scheduling, a unified inbox, analytics and social listening for marketing teams. Karobar covers social posting and comments too, but it is built for shops that sell in chat: WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and TikTok DMs in one inbox, orders with cash on delivery, courier tracking, stock, and ad results from Meta, TikTok and Snapchat.

If you are looking for a Hootsuite alternative, this page compares the two feature by feature. Every statement about Hootsuite links to Hootsuite's own website, numbered in the sources list at the end, and was checked on 15 October 2026. Where Hootsuite's pages did not say something, we say so rather than guess. Karobar's details come from our own product and our pricing page.

Who each tool fits

Hootsuite fits marketing teams that manage many brands and networks, including X, Threads and others Karobar does not cover, and that want social listening, competitor benchmarking and detailed reports. Its pricing is per user, which suits a small number of specialists working across many accounts.

Karobar fits shops and small brands where social media is the sales channel. The same people post, answer DMs, take the order, confirm cash on delivery and send the tracking number. Karobar keeps all of that in one place, with Karobar AI drafting replies from your own products and stock, and plans that include several users from $20 a month.

Put simply: if your job is brand marketing and reporting across every network, Hootsuite is built for it. If your job is turning posts and chats into delivered orders, Karobar is.

Pricing explained

Hootsuite charges per user. Its plans page lists Standard at $99, Professional at $199 and Advanced at $399 per user a month in its FAQ, with monthly and yearly billing, and Enterprise on request. The page did not make clear on our visit which billing period those FAQ figures assume, so check it before you compare.

Karobar charges per plan, and each plan includes users: one on Individual at $20, three on Team at $39, five on Brand at $59 and ten on Enterprise at $199 a month, with 12% off when paying yearly. A team of three people therefore costs $39 a month on Karobar's Team plan.

Social posting and comments

Both tools schedule posts to the main networks and bring comments into one place. Hootsuite covers more networks, including X and Threads. Karobar covers Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Google Business Profile, with approvals per person, a spreadsheet upload of up to 500 posts, a media library with an editor, and Enhance with AI for product photos. Comments from Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn pages and YouTube arrive in the Comments inbox, and Karobar AI flags spam and unhappy comments.

Selling in chat

This is where the two tools differ most. Hootsuite's inbox lets a team answer messages across networks, with automation and routing on higher plans. Karobar treats the chat as the start of an order: the team records the order from the conversation, confirms cash on delivery, adds the courier and tracking number, and sends the customer updates as the order moves. Products and stock sit next to the inbox, so nobody promises a size that sold out.

On WhatsApp, Karobar adds broadcasts with approved templates, several numbers in one inbox and chatbot flows. See WhatsApp marketing and Sales Desk.
