Plan a social media campaign

Times first, then a post for each time, then switch it on.

A campaign keeps a sale, a launch, a giveaway or a run of posts together, with its own accounts, dates and results. You choose the times first, then give each time a post, and nothing goes out until you switch the campaign on.

Build the campaign

In Social Content, open Campaigns and click New campaign. The builder has four steps, and How campaigns work explains each one as you go.

  1. Name: a name only you see, and a colour that marks its posts on the calendar. Its links are tagged with the name, so you can see the clicks it brings.
  2. Accounts: where its posts go. A saved group picks several at once, and each post can still change them.
  3. Plan: how often, how many and at what time. The calendar also shows your other campaigns and posts. Click a day to see its hours, click an empty hour to add a post time, and drag a post to move it. For each time, create a post or pick one you already have; a post from your accounts is copied into a new post for that time.
  4. Review: see what is missing, such as times with no post yet, then Activate campaign, or Activate later.

Times without a post, and posts still in draft, are skipped when you activate. You can fill them in later. Posts with automations start them as they go out, and new posts in a campaign start with link shortening on, so clicks are counted.

Pause, change or delete it

  • Each campaign card has a ⋯ menu with Activate, Deactivate and Delete.
  • While a campaign is paused, its scheduled posts wait. If a post's time passes while paused, change its time before activating again.
  • Deleting a paused campaign keeps its posts as drafts, so nothing goes out on its own.
