Use the media library and photo editor

Folders for your files, plus crop, trim, cover, alt text and tags.

Every photo, video and PDF you upload to Social Content is kept in the Library, so you can find it again for the next post. The editor in the composer gets a file ready for each network without another app.

Organise your library

  • Upload files, or drop them in. Files added to a post are kept here too.
  • Folders: create, rename and delete folders. Deleting a folder keeps its files in the library.
  • Filter by folder, and by where a file came from: Uploaded, AI or Products.
  • Details: give each file a name, a description for people who cannot see it (alt text) and tags, so you can find it again by searching.
  • Select several files to move them to a folder, delete them, or Use in a new post.

When a photo has been edited or enhanced, the library keeps every version (Original, Enhanced, With logo, Edited) side by side.

Edit a file before posting

  1. In the composer, click Edit on a photo or video.
  2. Make the changes below.
  3. Click Done.
  • Shape: Crop to fill (drag to choose what stays in the frame) or Fit with blurred edges (nothing is cut off; the empty space is filled with a soft blur of the picture).
  • Trim: shorten a video.
  • Cover: slide to the frame people see before they press play.
  • Details: alt text, and Tag people on Instagram by tapping the photo where they are and typing their username.

Shaping and trimming make a new version that replaces the file in your post when it is ready. For product photos, see Enhance product photos with AI.
