WhatsApp broadcast not sending: what each status means

What Queued, Daily limit reached, Blocked and the other statuses mean, and how to fix them.

Every WhatsApp broadcast in Karobar has a status, shown in Marketing → WhatsApp → Broadcasts and in its report. If a broadcast stops or messages are missing, the status tells you why. Find yours below.

What each status means

  • Scheduled: Waiting for the time you chose. Nothing to do.
  • Queued: About to start; it begins by itself. A number linked to the WhatsApp Business app also waits here for a few minutes while the app reconnects.
  • Sending: Messages are going out. You can pause it.
  • Paused: Someone paused it. Click Resume broadcast to carry on.
  • Daily limit reached: Your number has reached Meta's limit on how many people it can start conversations with in 24 hours. Nothing to do: Karobar carries on by itself as soon as the limit frees up. You can also cancel.
  • Blocked — number quality: Meta has rated the number's quality low, restricted the number, or paused or rejected the template. See Blocked broadcasts below.
  • WhatsApp number missing: The number was disconnected or needs connecting again. Reconnect it in Settings → Channels, then create the broadcast again.
  • Plan expired: Your Karobar plan ended before the broadcast ran. Renew in Settings → Billing, then create the broadcast again.
  • Completed: Every recipient has been tried. Open the report to see who received it.
  • Cancelled: Someone cancelled it. Create a new broadcast if you still want to send it.

Blocked broadcasts

Karobar stops a broadcast rather than send from a number in trouble, because sending more would make things worse. Check these in order:

  1. The template. In the Templates tab, check it is still approved. If Meta paused or rejected it, create a new template and a new broadcast.
  2. The number's quality. Check the quality rating in Meta's WhatsApp Manager. A low rating comes from people blocking or reporting your messages; send only to people who agreed to hear from you, and wait for it to recover.
  3. The number itself. If Meta has restricted or disabled the number, follow Meta's steps in WhatsApp Manager first.

Once the problem is fixed, click Resume broadcast to send to the people who have not received it yet.

When some messages failed

A broadcast can finish while some people did not receive it. Open its report to see each person as pending, sent, delivered, read or failed. Failure reasons are grouped in plain words, with a link to Meta where the fix is there.

  • Try the failed recipients again sends to the people whose failure might be temporary. Karobar tells you how many it queued again and how many cannot be retried.
  • People who opted out are skipped on purpose and show as failed with the reason "Contact opted out".

No. Karobar checks the limit again and carries on by itself once your number can message more people.

Meta raises a number's limit in steps as it keeps a good quality rating and sends to more people. Business verification in Meta is also needed for the higher limits.

Email support@karobar.io with the broadcast's name and what its report shows.
