Search for a bulk WhatsApp sender in Pakistan and you will find desktop programs, Chrome extensions and "virtual number" services that promise to send thousands of messages from an ordinary WhatsApp number. Many sellers try one before an Eid sale, and many lose the number a few days later. The number had their customers' chats, their catalogue and years of trust on it.
There is no trick that makes an unofficial bulk sender safe. There is an official way to send one message to many customers, and it is built for exactly this. This guide explains why unofficial senders get numbers banned, how official WhatsApp broadcasts work, what they cost for customers in Pakistan, and how to run them in Karobar without hurting your number.
Why bulk sender tools get numbers banned
WhatsApp's own terms list "bulk messaging, auto-messaging, auto-dialing" among the impermissible uses of the service, and forbid accessing it "through automated or other means". Tools that drive WhatsApp Web or the phone app automatically, or that run on modified WhatsApp apps, do exactly that. WhatsApp does not need a complaint to act: unusual sending patterns are enough.
- The number is the asset at risk. A banned number loses access to its chats, and customers who saved it can no longer reach you.
- "Without ban" settings only slow the problem down. Random delays and rotating numbers change the pattern, not the rule being broken.
- Virtual numbers spread the risk to more numbers, each of which your customers learn not to trust.
- Customers can block and report. WhatsApp's business policy says access may be limited or removed for businesses that receive significant negative feedback, official or not.
The official way: broadcasts on the WhatsApp Business Platform
Meta offers businesses the WhatsApp Business Platform (often called the WhatsApp Business API). Through it, a business may send one message to many customers as long as three rules are kept:
- Opt-in. WhatsApp's business policy says you may contact people only if they have given you permission to message them.
- Approved templates. A message to someone who has not written to you in the last 24 hours must be a template that Meta has approved. Templates are reviewed before they can be used.
- Quality. Each number has a quality rating and a daily limit on how many different people it may start conversations with. Good messages raise the limit over time; blocks and reports lower it.
This is slower to set up than installing a bulk sender, and it costs money per message. In exchange, your number is not at risk for using it, and the limits grow as customers respond well.
What official broadcasts cost in Pakistan
Meta charges for each marketing template that is delivered, at the rate of the recipient's country. For recipients in Pakistan the list rate from 1 October 2026 is:
| Message type | Meta list rate per delivered message (Pakistan) |
|---|---|
| Marketing (offers, new collections, sale reminders) | $0.0473 |
| Utility (order and delivery updates) | $0.015 |
| Service replies beyond 1,000 a month per number | $0.015 |
So a promotion delivered to 1,000 customers in Pakistan costs about $47 in Meta charges. Your provider's plan is on top of that. The WhatsApp API pricing calculator works out the total for your own volumes and countries.
How Karobar runs a broadcast safely
- Phonebooks with opt-in. Import customers from a CSV file, add them from your chats, or one at a time. Each contact carries an opted-in mark, and by default Karobar sends marketing broadcasts only to opted-in contacts.
- Templates written in the app, submitted to Meta, and usable once approved. Paused or rejected templates are never sent.
- A preview before sending that shows how many people will actually receive the message and why the rest are skipped.
- Opt-out words handled for you. Replies such as "stop" or "unsubscribe" mark the contact as opted out, and they are checked again at the moment of sending.
- Limits respected. When your number reaches its daily limit, the broadcast stops with "limit reached" and can be resumed later, instead of failing message by message. When quality drops to medium, sending slows down.
- Replies land in the inbox. A customer who answers opens a new 24-hour window, and the chat arrives in the same unified inbox as every other conversation.
The full walk-through, from phonebook to report, is in the WhatsApp broadcast campaigns guide.
Bulk sender tool or official broadcast, side by side
| Unofficial bulk sender | Official broadcast | |
|---|---|---|
| Allowed by WhatsApp | No, against the terms | Yes |
| Risk to your number | High: restriction or ban | Only from poor quality or reports |
| Who you can message | Anyone, which is the problem | People who opted in |
| Message content | Anything | Templates approved by Meta |
| Cost | Tool licence | Meta charge per delivered message, plus your provider |
| Replies | Scattered across phones | In one shared inbox |
Habits that keep your number healthy
- Message only people who bought from you or asked to hear from you. Never a bought list or numbers copied from a group.
- Keep templates short and specific: one offer, one link, a clear way to say stop.
- Do not resend the same promotion to people who did not read it.
- Send when someone on your team can answer replies.
- Start small with a new number and grow as the limit rises.
