What is in the template
| Column | What to put in it |
|---|---|
| Week, Date, Day | When the post goes out. Replace the sample dates with your month. |
| Network and Format | Where it goes and as what: Reel, Carousel, Story, Short, Photo post, Update. |
| Theme | One of five themes: new and in stock, show it in use, proof, behind the scenes, offer. |
| Post idea | One line describing the post. |
| Caption and Link | The finished text and any link, ideally with UTM tags. |
| Owner and Status | Who is making it, and whether it is an idea, in progress, approved or scheduled. |
How to use it
The thinking behind the themes and the pace is explained in How to build a social media content calendar. For image and video sizes per network, use the free social media image size guide, and tag your links with the UTM link builder.
- Mark the fixed dates first: sales, launches, holidays and stock arrivals.
- Keep offers to about one post in five; the other themes make the offers work.
- Reuse one vertical video for Reels, TikTok and Shorts on the same day.
- Fill in captions a week ahead, and have someone approve them before they are scheduled.
- At the end of the month, mark which posts did best and plan more like them.
Scheduling straight from the sheet
When the month is ready, copy the caption, date and time of each post into the upload sheet, one post per row, and upload it to Karobar. Rows without a date go into your next free posting times, and Karobar shows any row that needs fixing before it creates anything.
From spreadsheet to scheduled posts
Karobar imports up to 500 posts from a spreadsheet, checks every row, and puts them in one calendar for every network. See Bulk upload social media posts.
