Turn on AI reply drafts and choose a mode

What Karobar AI needs, where to switch it on, and how Smart, Every message and Auto differ.

Karobar AI drafts replies to your messages, comments and Google reviews from your own business information. Nothing goes out until a person sends it, unless you choose to turn on Auto for messages. This page shows how to switch it on and choose how much it does.

1. Give it your business information

Every draft is written from three things. Drafts stay off until all three are filled in, in Automations → AI Assist (also reachable from the AI Training tab in the inbox):

  1. Business info: your business name and a short description.
  2. Policies & FAQs: delivery, payment, returns and the questions you get every day.
  3. Products or services: what you sell, with prices and variants.

What to write in each, and how to fix a wrong draft, is in How to get accurate AI replies from your own product catalogue.

2. Choose where it helps

In AI Assist → AI Replies, or the AI menu in the inbox, switch on:

  • Messages: drafts for WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and TikTok chats, and a read of how each customer feels.
  • Comments: drafts for real questions on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube posts, and spam and unhappy comments flagged. You also choose what happens when someone asks the price in a comment: answer with the price in the comment, or reply in a private message.
  • Reviews: a draft for each new Google review, with an alert when one is unhappy.

The first time, Karobar asks for your agreement to let Karobar AI read customer messages. It reads only the text: names, phone numbers and your customer list are never shared.

3. Choose a mode for messages

  • Smart (the default): marks chats that need a reply and writes the draft when you open the chat. About 0.08 credits per draft, only for chats you open that need a reply.
  • Every message: writes a draft as soon as a customer message that needs a reply arrives. About 0.08 credits for every message that needs a reply.
  • Auto: writes and sends replies without asking you; risky messages stay as drafts. About 0.08 credits for every message it answers.

Before you turn on Auto

Auto sends replies to customers with no one checking them first, and AI can get prices, stock or delivery times wrong. To turn it on, you read the warning, accept responsibility for what it sends and type the word Karobar asks for. Its limits:

  • It never answers complaints, angry customers, cancellations, refunds, returns, questions about an existing order, or anything your business info does not cover. Those stay as drafts for a person.
  • It stays quiet while a teammate has the chat open, and stops after 3 replies in a row with no person replying.
  • It stops at your daily limit: 200 replies a day unless you change it.
  • Every message it sends is marked "Sent by Karobar AI". Turn it off any time from the AI menu in the inbox.

Karobar AI never answers comments or reviews by itself: a person always sends those replies. (Comment to DM and keyword auto replies are different: they send your own words, not AI.)

Turn it off

Switch off any area in AI Replies, or use Turn off Karobar AI everywhere in Settings → AI Settings. Your own keyword auto replies keep working, because they use no AI; see Instagram auto reply.

One of the three items is missing: business info, policies & FAQs, or products and services. Fill it in and drafts can be switched on.

Only in Auto, which you turn on yourself for messages, with the limits above. In Smart and Every message, a person always sends.
