# Connect TikTok and TikTok Ads

Connect your TikTok business profile, your TikTok Ads Manager account, or both.

TikTok connects to Karobar in two separate parts: your TikTok business profile, and TikTok Ads Manager. Connect the one you need, or both. What TikTok allows in business messages is explained in [TikTok DMs for business](https://karobar.io/guides/tiktok-dms-for-business).

## Connect your TikTok business profile

You need a TikTok Business account. You can switch a personal account to a business account in the TikTok app's settings.

1. In Karobar, open **Settings → Channels** and choose **TikTok Business Center**.
2. Pick **TikTok Business Profile** and click **Connect**.
3. Log in to TikTok, select the profile, and allow the permissions Karobar asks for.
4. The profile appears under your connected channels.

This brings in TikTok messages, comments, posting from Social Content, and profile insights. Audience details appear once the profile has at least 100 followers.

## Connect TikTok Ads Manager

1. In **Settings → Channels**, choose **TikTok Business Center** again.
2. Pick **TikTok Ad Account** and click **Connect**.
3. Log in with the account that has access to TikTok Ads Manager and choose the ad accounts.
4. Ad results appear in **Insights → Ad Insights**, and entries from TikTok lead forms arrive in the Sales Desk.

### Why do I need two connections?

TikTok keeps business profiles and Ads Manager separate, each with its own login and permissions. Connect the profile for messages, comments and posts, and Ads Manager for ad results.

### New TikTok messages are not arriving.

Check that the profile still shows as connected in Settings → Channels. TikTok also limits who can message a business; see the common reasons in [TikTok DMs for business](/guides/tiktok-dms-for-business).
