# Connect Instagram and Facebook

Bring Instagram DMs, Messenger, comments, insights and Meta ad accounts into Karobar.

Instagram and Facebook connect to Karobar through Meta. Most shops use one Facebook login that brings in the Facebook Page, the Instagram account linked to it, and any Meta ad accounts. If your Instagram account has no Facebook Page, you can connect it with an Instagram login instead.

## Before you start

- Your Instagram account must be a **Business** or **Creator** account. You can switch in the Instagram app's settings.
- For the Facebook login: you need to be an admin of the Facebook Page, and the Instagram account should be linked to that Page.

## Connect with Facebook (Page, Instagram and ads)

1. In Karobar, open **Settings → Channels** and choose **Facebook & Instagram**.
2. Click **Connect** and log in with the Facebook account that manages your Page.
3. Select the Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts and ad accounts you want, and allow the permissions Karobar asks for.
4. Back in Karobar, the accounts appear under your connected channels. Send your Page a message to check it arrives in the inbox.

This one connection covers Messenger and Instagram DMs, comments on your posts, Business Insights for both, and Meta ad results with the Creative Library.

## Connect with Instagram only

1. In **Settings → Channels**, choose **Instagram Direct**.
2. Click **Connect** and log in with your Instagram Business or Creator account.
3. Allow the permissions, and the account appears under your connected channels.

This brings in Instagram DMs, comments and profile insights. Meta ad accounts need the Facebook connection.

### My Instagram account does not show up.

Check that it is a Business or Creator account and, for the Facebook login, that it is linked to a Facebook Page you are an admin of. Then connect again and select it.

### Can I connect more than one Page or Instagram account?

Yes. Select every account you need when you connect; how many you can add depends on your plan.
